Tack Natural Sea

Are those natural, funky looking sponges ok?
Ok. I got back from the tack store. I didn’t like the other sponges (they were small) to sponge off the horse since it is very hot. So they had those natural sponges. http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/natural-sea-sponges-good-for-skin-1.jpg
This won’t hurt the horse right? I didn’t think so, but I didn’t see anybody else at the farm using it but my dad said it would be very good.
Thanks a bunch!
A natural sponge is the remaining shell of an animal that lives in the ocean. They tend to live on coral reefs. There is nothing that can harm your horse in this sponge, and it will probably last longer than artificial sponges. Also, it has been suggested that natural sponge has antibiotic characteristics, which will keep your horse’s skin even healthier. The reason you don’t see them that often is they tend to be more expensive than the plastic synthesized sponge. You are giving your horse a luxury sponge! He will love it.
